Monti di Medeglia

A physically demanding tour, but one that does not present great technical difficulties.

Ascent first on asphalt  to Calmagnone and then on dirt track. At an altitude of 1043 metres, a diversion on a route marked as hiking is recommended, continuing on a panoramic road to Motto della Costa. The effort is amply repaid by the 360-degree panorama.

The descent is on the other side over the Val d'Isone, Bironico, Rivera and then down the Ceneri road. From Cadenazzo we return to Bellinzona via the hamlets of S. Antonino and Camorino.
